As in-house counsel in Asia, you may sometimes miss the full library resources you would have in your head-office law department or in a major commercial law firm. Sometimes all you need is a particular case report or a particular piece of legislation, or access to one of the leading texts. On other occasions you may need to commission library research to find out what legislation or case law may be relevant to an issue. Or, you may just need to browse through on-line services and hard copy journals to get ideas for a presentation or policy submission.
